Judy Briner started her career with Champlin Firearms in April, 1967. Her husband, Bud, was Champlin's first employee. They moved to Enid, Oklahoma from Ilinois in 1966. Judy had been working as a manager at the Ruberoid Floor/Tile Division in Joliet.
While working at a clothing store in Enid, Judy had an opportunity to join Champlin as bookkeeper and secretary. As the business grew, Judy took on more duties and was in charge of importing and exporting. Because she joined the company before the ownership changed hands, she was very involved in making Champlin Firearms what it is today.
