#ASE 0016B, Beretta 20 Bore O/U Deluxe Premium Grade Model ASEL Finished at Beretta in 2005 in their Custom Shop. #16 of 28 Made and so marked on the barrels, 30" Boehler Antinit Steel Matted Vent Rib Barrels with Factory screw chokes, Top bite cross bolt lugs, .623 .005 - .009 & .025" (Imp.Cyl. - Skt.II & Full), 3" chambers, Barrel weight at KG 1.180, Absolute correct bores and chokes as it left the factory in 2005, Single non-selective trigger, Scalloped frame, Game forend with finger grooves, Straight hand stock at 14 x 1 7/16 x 2 1/8" over a 3/4" leather pad, It will go 14 3/8" with a 1"pad installed as the current pad is removable with plugs, Ideal cast-off for the right hand, It is trim and slim with nice balance at 6 lbs. 1 oz., 90% coverage of Premium Grade engraving with game scene's and scroll by Perlotti that is well done, 4 retainer screws that secure key screws on the frame, forend and trigger guard, It includes the replaceable locking shoulders on the barrel at the breech, Premium Grade wood  that borders on being Exhibition with great black/brown contrast, Deeley & Edge pull down forend release. It is cased in a Deluxe Premium Grade leather trunk with Deluxe accessories, leather trade label and the Premium Gun Certificate. The gun retains 100% original barrel blue, The frame finish at 99%, The oil finished wood 100%, The original wrap around checkering at 100%, The bores are new. The ASE/ASEL Model Beretta is the best Boxlock they ever produced. These 20 bore ASEs are a true and accurate frame and barrel size for the ideal game gun. Beretta offered the original AS Model for 17 years but not with this style of engraving or wood this good. They discontinued the original ASE in 1964. Then some 20 years ago they came back out with these, and this piece is clearly marked number 16 of 28. 

The Beretta Premium Grade guns that come out of their Custom Shop have barrels that are hand fitted to the action. It is then checked in the white or "bianco" and then hardened. They use select wood, as you can see on this piece, with oil & wax finish, locking screws on key screws and the internal parts are polished. Nearly all are then sold thru the Beretta Gallery stores Worldwide.
