This quality period piece has 2 retainer screws that secure key screws in the forend. It includes the replaceable locking shoulders on the barrel at the breech. It comes with spare strikers and springs, a spare trigger, 2 spare red front beads and a very small screwdriver to adjust the LOP on the trigger. The ASE/ASEL Model Beretta is the best Boxlock they ever produced and it will never be again at anywhere near this price. Beretta offered the original AS Model for 17 years but not with this style of engraving or wood this good. They discontinued the original ASE in 1964. Then some 20 years ago they came back out with these, and this piece is clearly marked number 67 of 300.

The Beretta Premium Grade guns that come out of their Custom Shop have barrels that are hand fitted to the action. It is then checked in the white or "bianco" and then hardened. They use select wood, as you can see on this piece, with oil & wax finish, locking screws on key screws and the internal parts are polished. Nearly all are then sold through the Beretta Gallery stores Worldwide.
