The Beretta Premium Grade guns that come out of their Custom Shop have barrels that are hand fitted to the action. It is then checked in the white or "bianco" and then hardened. They use select wood, as you can see on this piece, with oil & wax finish, locking screws on key screws and the internal parts are polished. Nearly all are then sold thru the Beretta Gallery stores Worldwide.

In 1933 Beretta introduced their first Sidelock OU, the Model S1. It was the beginning of the SO series competition and hunting guns and fortunately is still built on this system to this day, some 90 years later. The SO10 is their best, CNC machined action body from a solid piece of tri-alloy steel, not cast or welded, replaceable hinge pins, titanium trigger, demibloc cold hammer forged barrels, bands on each side of the barrels between the forend and barrels, hard chromed chambers and bores for corrosion resistance, newly designed ejectors, reliable sidelocks, additional bottom lugs for strong locking and all offered in 4 action sizes. It then is hand polished inside and out before it is stocked with outstanding Walnut. Then each becomes a one-off piece with hand executed engraving. The SO10 Premium Grade will be a treasure forever.
