#20589, Beretta 20 Bore O/U Model ASEL Made in 1958, Abercrombie & Fitch Import, 28" Matted Vent Rib Barrels, Top bite cross bolt lugs, .626 .021 & .039" (Imp.Mod. & Extra Full), 2 3/4" chambers, Barrel weight at Kg 1,120, Absolute correct bores and chokes as it left the factory in 1958, Single non-selective trigger, Scalloped frame, Game forend with finger grooves, Very open pistol grip stock at 14 1/4 x 1 5/8 x 2 3/16" over a 1" pad; It is trim and slim with superb balance at 5 lbs. 12 oz., 96% coverage of scroll with a floral pattern; 6 retainer screws that secure key screws on the frame, forend and trigger guard, It includes the replaceable locking shoulders on the barrel at the breech, Better than average wood for a ASEL, Checkered side panels at the head of the stock, It has re-enforcement plugs 1 1/2" back of the head of the stock as it had a start/stop crack from the top tang to the trigger plate, It was very professionally repaired and now is solid, Sunburst bakelite grip cap, Deeley & Edge pull down forend release, A trigger guard tang that extends to the grip cap, The gun retains 95% original blue, The frame finish at 96%, The wood is re-oiled and now at 97%, The original checkering at 96%, The bores are excellent plus. The ASE/ASEL Model Beretta is the best Boxlock they ever produced, and it will never be again at anywhere near this price. These 20 bore ASEL's are a true and accurate frame and barrel size for the ideal game gun. Beretta offered the AS Model for 17 years and discontinued this model in 1964.
