Purdey & Sons, Audley House, South Audley Street, London, England: A Purdey Bar Action Sidelock Ejector .369 Nitro Express that was completed in the Golden Era of 1935, It is with 25" Ejector Chopper Lump, The barrels with a rib extension third bite, 1/4 rib with 1 standing rear sight, Bolstered frame, Sideclip action body, Bushed strikers, Bolted safety, Nitro proved at 61 Cordite with a 270 grain bullet, Double triggers, Frontal Anson forend release, Excellent wood with deep black/brown contrast, Engraved steel grip cap, Shadow line cheekpiece, 14 7/8" LOP over a 1/2" pad, Weight of 9 lbs., 85% coverage of Purdey's classic rose & scroll engraving, The barrels were professionally reblacked and now are at 100%, Original case colors that remain at 90%, The butt & forend were professionally re-oiled and now at 99%, The wood is as solid as new, The bores are absolute excellent plus and look like new, The gun remains as tight and functional as it did in 1935. The whole is cased in the original brass cornered oak & leather trunk case that Marvin Huey re-did on the interior with additional high-quality tools, An Ivory bottle with spare strikers and several spare front sights. This cartridge is Purdey's answer to the 375 H&H and it shoots .375" diameter bullets. There is very few .369 Nitro Express Purdey double rifles in existence, I believe the records indicate that slightly less than 30 were chambered in this cartridge.
