#259, Champlin Left Hand 300 Winchester Magnum Bolt Rifle Stocked by Maurice Ottmar, Made in 1977, 24" round barrel with out open sights, Tang safety, Two panel bolt knob checkering, Canjar trigger, Buehler 2 piece bases & rings, A fairly nice piece of true French walnut, Wrap around point pattern checkering, Shadowline cheekpiece with a slight monte carlo comb, Biesen 2 screw checkered steel grip cap, Sling eyes on the stock, 13 13/16" L.O.P. over a 1" pad, 7 lbs. 11 oz., Bill Rinie in our shop did all the metal work and fit this barrel; He was one of the best at threading, fitting and chambering a bolt rifle barrel that I personally knew of, He was totally meticulous and did it with great detail, The original blue is at 98%, The wood has the original finish and remains at 90% with scattered hunting marks, The checkering remains at 97%, The bore is as new. The late Maurice Ottmar stocked the gun while he was in our employment, a good stocker and a good man.
