#60104, Auguste Francotte, Liege: An Auguste Francotte Model 35 in 12 Bore Made in 1905, 26 3/4" Ejector Dovetail Lump Barrels with a Rib Extension Crossbolt, It is .730 .022 & .031" (Mod. & Imp.Mod.), 2 1/2" chambers, Original bore size proved at 18.5mm plus the original choke constriction, Wall thickness on the right barrel at .028" & the left at .030", Sideplates, Side clip action body, Double triggers, Sling eyes, Splinter forend with an Anson release, Straight hand stock at 14 1/4 x 1 7/16 x 2" over a 1/2" pad, Neutral stock, 6 lbs. 14 oz., 98% coverage of very nice rose & scroll engraving, Very nice European walnut with very good color and contrast, This is a doggone nice gun, The barrels professionally reblacked with near perfect striking & now at 99%, The stock re-oiled & at 98%, The checkering remains at 99%, The bores are excellent with light pitting towards the muzzle in the right barrel. The gun is cased in a modern leather cornered canvas trunk with a trade label. This Francotte comes from a good maker, attractive, great vintage, excellent engraving and comes to hand with ease.
