J. Perodeau, Double triggers with the front articulated, Bolstered frame, Scalloped action back, Cocking indicators, Locking screws on key screws, Slight beavertail forend, Shadowline cheekpiece, Sling eyes, Steel grip cap, 15 5/16" LOP over a 1" Decelerator pad plus a 3/4" spacer professionally fit by J. J. Perodeau, If the spacer were removed the LOP would come out at 14 5/8" LOP with a 1" pad, 9 lbs.14 oz., Typical 88B Safari hand cut 20% engraving coverage, Full length trigger guard tang found only on the 88B Safari to a steel grip cap, Very nice wood with excellent black/brown contrast and excellent grain layout for years of tough use, It has 98% original barrel blue, The original wood finish at 94% with typical handling marks, The checkering remains at 100%, The bores are absolutely as new. In the field of current double rifles, the Heym is only one of two that our shop feels comfortable with to go the course with reliability and function over the long haul of serious shooting and African hunting. These earlier Heym 88B's were the best they made plus it has hand cut engraving and features their current big bores don't have.
