A Winston Elrod 280 Remington Full Custom on a Pre-64 Model 70 Action, 26" fluted barrel installed by Roy Vincent, It is installed to an original Pre-64 Model 70 action that was made in 1950, Clean barrel without open sights, 1" Talley detachable bases and rings, Leupold Vari-X III 4.5 x 14, Model 70 wing safety, Model 70 trigger, Blackburn Straddle hinged floorplate with a center bow release, Built up and checkered bolt stop release, 2 panel teardrop bolt knob checkering, A very nice Elrod custom pure classic style stock with a nice piece of wood, Wrap around Point Pattern checkering that is very well done, Shadowline cheekpiece, Ebony forend tip, Jerry Fisher steel grip cap, Double Screw Sling eyes on the stock, Excellent internal inletting, 13 3/4" LOP over a Biesen checkered steel buttplate, 9 Lbs. 6 Oz. with the Leupold, The bore is excellent plus, The overall blue on all the metal remains at 95%, The stock finish at 96%, The checkering is at 100%, This Piece has nice workmanship along with classic style, built tough, nice metal work and in the Gunsmith's rifle cartridge. This is flat out a very good value at this price.
