#338570, Ithaca Gun Co. Ithaca N. Y.: A 16 Bore Flues Model Grade I that was completed in 1920, It is with 30" Extractor steel barrels with the rectangular rib extension crossbolt and third bite at .656 .019 & .019" (Imp.Mod. & Imp.Mod.), 2 3/4" chambers, The barrel flats stamped 4 & 4 for Full & Full chokes, Double triggers, Splinter forend, Pistol grip stock at 14 1/16 x 2 1/16 x 3 1/2" over the original checkered buttplate with the Ithaca Gun Co. logo, 6 lbs. 6 oz., This is a total original gun with 88% bluing remaining on the barrels, 20% original case colors remain with a nice patina, The breech face retains 80% of its case colors, The wood both fore and aft is nearly as solid as it was 96 years ago and overall is still at 75% finish, The stock was oiled but I don't believe ever sanded, The checkering remains at 90%, The bores are excellent plus and the barrels are in superb shape inside and out, All serial numbers match including the forend wood, It is smack on the face and remains tight. Here is a very nice and honest Ithaca made 96 years ago.
