#9932B, Springfield Armory 22 Long Rifle Model M1922MI.I, A Cadet Training 22 Long Rifle that was designed to mimic the M1903 Springfield for training purposes, The receiver shows a second “I” stamped next to the original “M I”, The serial number has the letter “B” added as a suffix indicating Armory rework or upgrade, All bolt markings have the improved M 2 markings, The 24 1/2" barrel is marked “S A 10 - 26” for Springfield Armory October 1926, It started life as a M-I and that the Armory upgraded it to the M-II configuration, 5-round box magazine fitted flush with the bottom of the floorplate, The receiver sight is the Lyman No. 48C and the usual military blade front sight, Walnut stock with “S. A. R.” in a square on left side of butt and “P” in a circle on the front of the pistol grip, A very course checkered steel butt plate without a trapdoor, 13 1/4" LOP, 9 lbs. 9 oz., Band front sight is that ramped with a hood, Finger groove sporter stock, Sling swivel studs with a proper type sling, Bore is bright with strong rifling, This gun remains original and is in very nice overall condition without any refinish work done on the metal or wood.
